Where Is Xur Today? (September 29-October 3) Destiny 2 Exotic Items And Xur Location Guide

A new weekend has kicked off inside of Destiny 2 and like clockwork, intergalactic arms dealer Xur has arrived to offer a fresh selection of Legendary and Exotic-class gear. Whether you’re looking for new rolls of iconic weapons or pieces of armor that you can use as fodder to make your Guardian stand out from the crowd, the Agent of the Nine has you covered. Here’s where Xur is this weekend and what he has for sale.

This week you can find Xur in the EDZ, in the Winding Cove area. For his weapon, Xur is offering Telesto. Hunters can pick up the Aeon Swift gauntets; Titans can grab the Ursa Furiosa gauntlets; and Warlocks can buy the Astrocyte Verse helmet.

Spawn in at the Winding Cove transmat zone, then hop on your sparrow and go north. Take the collapsed overpass on the left and look for a cave near the bend in the road. Follow the tunnel through the cliff face to reach a higher ridge where a Fallen dropship has crashed; you’ll find Xur waiting there.

Xur Exotic and Legendary Items

  • Exotic Engram – 97 Legendary Shards
  • Telesto – 29 Legendary Shards
  • Aeon Swift – 23 Legendary Shards
  • Ursa Furiosa – 23 Legendary Shards
  • Astrocyte Verse – 23 Legendary Shards
  • Hawkmoon – 200 Legendary Shards, 125,000 Glimmer, 1 Ascendant Shard, 1 Exotic Cipher
  • Xenology quest – Free
  • Legendary weapons and armor – 50 Legendary Shards, 1,000 Glimmer

Xur also offers the Xenology quest every week, which requires you to complete 21 Vanguard Ops or win Crucible and Gambit matches so that you can earn an Exotic Cipher. These are normally used to buy old Exotics from a kiosk in the Tower, but beginning this season, you’ll be able to spend them at Master Rahool to get the Exotics that you want. The cap on Exotic Ciphers has also increased, as you’ll now be able to hold up to five of them at a time.

Exotic Armor

Aeon Swift (Exotic Hunter gauntlets)

Aeon Swift
Aeon Swift

Aeon Swift is an interesting Exotic, as it’s geared toward providing benefits and buffs to your teammates if you perform certain actions. It has quite a few of these perks to choose from, and each one takes up a slot in the Exotic’s armor mod system. If you and your entire fireteam of Hunters wear this Exotic and plan accordingly, then it can be a powerful piece of armor depending on the situation. For the stats, this roll has a pretty nice spread across most of the categories, although you’ll definitely need to invest in a high resilience mod.

  • Mobility: 19
  • Resilience: 3
  • Recovery: 13
  • Discipline: 15
  • Intellect: 10
  • Strength: 7
  • Total: 67

Ursa Furiosa (Exotic Titan gauntlets)

Ursa Furiosa
Ursa Furiosa

This furry Exotic works well with Titans who like to pop their Sentinel Shield Super often. Ursine Guard allows you to move faster while Guarding with an active Sentinel Shield, and guarded damage will be converted into Super energy when that ability ends. This Exotic has a very nice resilience stat that ties in nicely to its defense-heavy nature, while intellect and strength aren’t too bad either. You won’t need to worry about the low mobility stat, but you might want to bump up the numbers for discipline when you start applying armor mods.

  • Mobility: 2
  • Resilience: 24
  • Recovery: 10
  • Discipline: 2
  • Intellect: 14
  • Strength: 16
  • Total: 68

Astrocyte Verse (Exotic Warlock helmet)

Astrocyte Verse
Astrocyte Verse

For the Warlock who loves roaming the battlefield as a Voidwalker, Astrocyte Verse is a must-have. The perk, Move to Survive, allows you to use the Blink teleport more frequently and move farther with it. As an added bonus, your weapons will be more readily available as soon as you exit a Blink and your radar will remain up. There’s a very good resilience stat on this helmet, the intellect stat is excellent, and strength is decent on this roll. For recovery and discipline, you’ll want to pump those rookie numbers up with some armor mods.

  • Mobility: 7
  • Resilience: 23
  • Recovery: 3
  • Discipline: 2
  • Intellect: 20
  • Strength: 11
  • Total: 66

Exotic Weapons

Telesto (Exotic fusion rifle)

Telesto
Telesto

An infamously buggy fusion rifle in Destiny 2, Telesto has been surprisingly well behaved in the game lately and hasn’t been the root cause of any major exploits. Yet. In its regular form, this is a terrific weapon that can fire Void projectiles at an enemy that will detonate after a short delay. Its secondary perk, Harbinger’s Pulse, immediately reloads your Kinetic and Energy-class weapons when you get multikills with the Unplanned Reprieve ability.

  • Unplanned Reprieve
  • Projection Fuse
  • Harbinger’s Pulse
  • Polymer Grip

Hawkmoon (Exotic hand cannon)

Hawkmoon
Hawkmoon

Hawkmoon this week isn’t a bad roll at all as Opening Shot–improved accuracy and range on the opening shot of an attack–works nicely with the other weapon perks on this edition of the Exotic hand cannon.

  • Paracausal Shot
  • Smallbore
  • Alloy Magazine
  • Opening Shot
  • Smooth Grip

Xur is present every weekend in Destiny 2, starting with the daily reset at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET each Friday. His exact location is always a mystery when he first arrives, as he is not listed on the map, and for novice players, he can be easy to miss. However, there are a set number of locations where he takes up residence, including the Tower Hangar area, on Nessus in Watcher’s Grave, and in the Winding Cove area of the EDZ.
